Wedding details – All your questions answered!

When should I arrive? As indicated on your invitation, please aim to arrive at the temple by 8.45am. The ceremony will begin soon after 9am, and be over by 10am. Please note there may not be enough seats for all guests, so we recommend arriving early!

Which entrance should I use? When you arrive at the temple, please enter through the side gate. This is to the left of the main entrance and is next to a foot washing area. Using this entrance means you may keep your shoes on. If you choose to enter through the main entrance, you MUST remove your shoes.

Where is the wedding hall? Take a few steps into the temple and turn left. There is a lift in the corner, which takes you up to the hall on the 3rd floor.

When can I greet the bride and groom? After the Hindu ceremony, there will be an opportunity for everyone to approach the stage to say hi and congrats etc. We expect this to be at about 10am. Of course, you can also chat to us at the buffet afterwards! Please note, you must remove your shoes before you walk up onto the stage.

Is there air conditioning? Yes! the wedding hall will be air conditioned ;). However, the buffet area is not enclosed and not therefore air conditioned.

Where is the buffet? To get to the buffet, please go back downstairs and turn left. Just go past the temple kiosk and you will see the buffet set out to your left. As this is further into the temple area, you will be required to remove your shoes.

What is included in the buffet? The buffet will be fully vegetarian and will include a range of south Indian delicacies, including fresh vadai and mini poori, as well as mini samosa’s, idli, chick-pea masala and potato masala. To drink there will be coffee, masala tea and ice water.

Can I take photographs of the temple wedding? Of course! Avoid taking photos of the inner sanctum and make sure you share photos on facebook afterwards!! 😉

When is the ROM? This will not take place at the temple. Instead, our families and closest friends have been invited to the Song of India for a more intimate occasion later in the evening.
